1.  How far in advance should I submit an application for study abroad?
Applications for faculty-led summer programs will be accepted on a rolling basis through January 20th, 2018. All programs will close as soon as they reach 15 confirmed participants. Therefore, the sooner you apply, the better!

2.  MDC does not offer a program in the country of my choice, can I apply to the program on my own?
At this time, MDC is only offering study abroad programs through our MDC faculty-led programs and the Confucius Institute. We look forward to continuing to expand and diversify our international opportunities each year. 

3.  What classes can I take while abroad?
Students enrolled in an MDC faculty-led programs will directly enrolled in an MDC course.  You will meet with your MDC academic advisor prior to applying to any program to ensure classes make sense for your academic pathway. Exact courses are detailed in each program's brochure page. 

4.  Do programs provide lodging?
MDC faculty-led programs as well as Confucius Institute Scholarships provide lodging. Details on lodging vary by program and details will be found on the program's brochure page.

5.  Will I need a Visa?
It is the responsibility of the student to research immigration policies and inquire as to the need for a visa dependent on the host-country(s).  Please note, all passport and visa related fees are the responsibility of the student. 

6. Does Financial Aid cover the cost of my program?

Financial aid may be used to cover or defray the overall cost of your study abroad program. As financial aid packages are specific to each student, we encourage you to meet with the Director of Financial Aid on your campus as soon as possible to discuss your financial aid options. We recommend this process to occur at least one to two semesters before your programs term.
